Basset Hounds are considered friendly breeds. They are ideal for a family. Like most dogs, Basset Hound likes to eat plenty of foods!! It is very ideal to have a big dog cage that will probably ease them to move. Most bassets are doing mannerism before they pooop. They actually stand before they poop. I don't know why are they doing that :D.
They have a certain attitude that can't be compared to any other dogs. They are simple laid back type of dogs that don't express their liveliness too much. They simply know when to approach you and sit on your side. Basset hound can live longer than most dogs. Finally, They are the Center of Attraction when you are walking with them on a street or in any park.
There are few problems in handling and caring a basset hound.
- Basset hounds are drooling machine
- Lazy most of the time
- Their ears are sinking in to their dog bowls
- They easily get exhausted when walk(depends on their diet) but compared to other dogs they aren't that endured when walking.
